AN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE
By first setting a good example by not yelling at your child when you are upset or angry, but instead advising and dealing with them with wisdom and patience.
HOW?
Check the example below:
1) Use the story in the Quran - THE STORY OF HABIL&QABIL
Teach them about the seriousness of consequences, using the story of Habil and Qabil, and how he killed his own brother because he couldn't control his anger, and how he had to bear the consequences of living in guilt knowing he killed his own brother, as well as the big sin of it.
2) Narrate the Hadeeth(لا تَغْضَبْ)and make them memorize it
Before that, cultivate in them the love for our Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) through stories etc., so that they make him as their ideal person and understand the significance of his message, إن شاء الله
3) USE simple, Enjoyable activities and worksheets
like, ask your child to write down what makes him/her feel angry(I feel angry when…), what are DO’s and DON’Ts during anger(let them think), use anger management worksheets etc,.
